Staycation Reading Wrap-up

Last week I was on vacation from work but spent the time relaxing at home. I made a TBR of books I wanted to read during the week (it was very ambitious):

  1. The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner
  2. Amina’s Voice by Hena Khan
  3. Not That Bad by Roxane Gay
  4. Tales from Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin
  5. Eloquent Rage by Brittney Cooper
  6. Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertelli
  7. Love, Hate, & Other Filters by Samira Ahmed
  8. The Secret Loves of Geek Girls edited by Hope Nicholson
  9. The Secret Loves of Geeks edited by Hope Nicholson
  10. Buffering by Hannah Hart
  11. Paper Girls Vol. 3 by Vaughn, Chiang, Wilson, and Fletcher
  12. March Book 1 by Lewis, Aydin, and Powell
  13. March Book 2 by Lewis, Aydn, and Powell
  14. March Book 3 by Lewis, Aydin, and Powell

The ones that are crossed out are the ones I finished during my staycation. I had already started Tales From Earthsea and Buffering prior to going on vacation but I also read two books that weren’t on my original list:

  1. Binti by Nnedi Okorafor
  2. Patina by Jason Reynolds

Binti came in the mail and it was only 90 pages so I figured I would read it and I realized Patina was due back to the library soon.

It’s not exactly as much as I was hoping to read but I also went out town for my sister’s birthday last weekend and we went to a race track, dinner, stayed at a hotel, and went out to breakfast the next morning. It was fun but exhausting and took away a lot of reading time! Overall, I had a great week of relaxing that included reading, going to dinner, going to the movies (to see the Incredibles 2!), and getting a massage (my first ever!) at a spa.
